Find a wealth of historic NC fun in Halifax county!
Across the American landscape a few places still exist
where people possess a warm, down-to-earth nature. Places where it is easy
to become a part of a quiet community that is in touch with the world. You
can find one of these places in Northeastern North Carolina. We call it
the Roanoke Valley.
In the Roanoke Valley, just south of the Virginia line,
Halifax County encompasses over half a dozen distinct communities. Through
the heart of the valley winds the Roanoke River, a focal point of trade, travel
