Martin County is located in the coastal plain of northeastern North Carolina.  Our broad expanses of land are threaded by scenic rivers, chief among them the navigable Roanoke, used by several industries.  Contributing more than just industrial impact, the river and its tributaries provide opportunities for sailing, recreational boating, canoeing and fishing for all to enjoy.
